At Amaco we aim to provide our participants with an all-inclusive travel package that covers almost every foreseeable expense. This includes all your accommodation, all sightseeing tours, all entrance fees, all meals (breakfasts, lunches and dinners), arrival and departure transfers between the airport and our group hotel and the services of expert English speaking guides.
Unlike other conference and tour packages, beverages are included with all lunches and dinners adding further to the already great value the travel package represents.
We even cover the often overlooked incidental expenses which can quickly add up to a fairly significant amount. This includes gratuities to guides, drivers, restaurant staff as well as hotel staff and porters. This means you will only need cash for the occasional souvenir or gift for family and friends.
As anyone who has traveled with Amaco will attest, every Amaco conference or tour represent outstanding value for money.
Your Kingdoms of the Himalayas packages include luxury accommodation, specialist guides and a carefully selected range of tours and activities which are often enhanced with private viewings, priority access and money can’t buy ‘wow’ moments.
A huge part of this amazing itinerary is the specially organised helicopter tour of the Everest region. While other operators might offer a 10 minute sighteeing flight in a large fixed wing aircraft, we have gone above and beyond. We’re working with the safest operators in Nepal and have secured almost all of their helicopters for what will be a once in a lifetime experience.
Starting from Kathmandu Airport (1,345m), you will fly by helicopter for around 30 minutes to Lukla (2,840m). After a short stop here, you will fly past some of the highest mountains in the world, flying over Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and across the front of Mt Everest itself (8,848m) before descending to Pheriche (4,240m). This flight takes around 5-10 minutes. Pheriche will be the marshelling point for the flight to Kala Patthar (5,545m) which will be done with only 2 or 3 people in each helicopter. The journey each way lasts around 5 minutes but more importantly we’ve secured landing rights at Kala Patthar, allowing each each helicopter will be on the ground for around 5 minutes. At such a high altitude, you might find breathing difficult so we’ll have staff on hand to administer oxygen if needed. You return to Pheriche and then continue by helicopter for another 7-10 minutes landing at Everest View Hotel for breakfast and the most amazing uninterrupted views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. Following breakfast, you will again board the helicopters, fly back to Lukla for refueling – this flights lasts between 5-7 mminutes. You’ll then head towards Kathmandu – flying for a further 30 minutes. The excitement doesn’t end here though, as the helicopters quickly touch down in Kathmandu for 10 minutes before another 30 minute flight to Chitwan National Park.
As you can tell from the above information, our itineraries are thoroughly researched and meticulously planned and you can travel with peace of mind knowing that each conference is escorted by a senior Amaco staff member who is on hand to ensure all goes to plan.
