After arriving into Kathmandu Airport you will be met by Amaco staff and our local operators and transferred to our group hotel. Following check-in at the hotel, you are free to relax in your room or begin enjoying the area surrounding the hotel.

MORNING

Today you will visit Durbar Square – the site of the Hanuman Dhoka Palace Complex. Most recently damaged by a major earthquake in April 2015, this UNESCO World Heritage site has gone through reconstruction on numerous occasions throughout its history after being damaged by natural causes and neglect. You will enjoy a rickshaw ride through the fascinating streets of Thamel.

AFTERNOON

After lunch head east of Kathmandu, you will visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the holiest shrines for Buddhist culture. The Stupa is said to entomb the remains of a Buddhist sage, perhaps parts of the Buddha’s bones and teeth and other ceremonial objects. You will continue to  Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest shrines in Nepal set on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River.

Conference Session 1 & 2 will take place this morning followed by lunch.

AFTERNOON

You will head to the ancient city of Khwopa, also known as Bhaktapur. One of the least changed of all the cities in the Kathmandu valley, the district has a medieval feel. It is the home of traditional art and architecture. Pottery and weaving are still traditional industries here. You will continue to Lalitpur Patan, a city separated by Kathmandu by the Bagmati River. The city has many ancient architectural masterpieces. Many highlights of the city include Patan Durbar Square and the Golden Temple. Return to the hotel to relax before dinner.

MORNING

Today prepare for an unforgettable experience as you board a specially chartered helicopter and soar over the majestic peaks of Everest. Starting from Kathmandu, you’ll fly towards the Himalayas with your first stop at Lukla, gateway to the Everest. From here you will fly to various viewpoints across the mountain region for breathtaking scenic stops. You’ll land at Kalapathar for a photo opportunity with direct views of Everest Base Camp. Enjoy breakfast at an altitude of almost 4000m at Syangboche with the most stunning 360 degrees views. Continue your helicopter journey through mountain peaks and valleys traveling along the Khumbu Glacier, the peaks of Lhotse and Ama Dablam before landing at Barahi Jungle Lodge in Chitwan National Park.

AFTERNOON

Activities on offer at the lodge today including elephant safari, canoe rides and local village tours.

NIGHT

In the evening float down the picturesque Rapti River enjoying beautiful views of the Himalayan foothills. Keep an eye out for rhinos, gharials and birdlife. Transfer back to the hotel for a dinner at the Lodge.

Today experience the thrill of walking through the dense jungle accompanied by an expert naturalist. You’ll be on the lookout for one horned rhinoceros, the illusive Benghal Tiger and other birds and animals.

After lunch enjoy an Elephant back ride or other lodge activities on offer.

Your evening Dinner is served back at the Jungle Lodge.

MORNING

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your Amaco charter flight to Pokhara — the starting point to many famous walks in the Annapurna region.

AFTERNOON

Followed by lunch Conference Session 3 & 4 will take place this afternoon.

NIGHT

Enjoy an evening boat ride on Phewa Lake, famous for its reflections in the mirror like water at sunset. Dinner at the Temple Tree Resort.

Early morning you will head for Sarangkot for exceptional sunrise views amidst the mountain peaks. Head back to the hotel for breakfast and continue to explore the area. You have the option of either being transferred by coach or hiking to the World Peace Pagoda.

AFTERNOON

Enjoy lunch overlooking the entire Pokhara valley. Your afternoon is at leisure to further explore your surroundings.

Our Nepal itinerary ends with a transfer to Kathmandu Airport. For participants continuing onto Bhutan, you will be transferred to Kathmandu Airport for your onward connection to Paro.
